Niloko tayo sa boto ng SC para kay Poe - Tatad

PRESIDENTIABLES.PH | Nagalit si dating Sen. Kit Tatad sa pagbulgar ni Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio na pito at hindi siyam ang pumabor kay Sen. Grace Poe na makatakbo ito bilang pangulo ng bansa.

Isa si Tatad sa nagpetisyon na i-disqualify ng korte si Poe dahil sa isyu ng kulang sa residency at hindi ito natural-born Filipino.

Ang boto ng mga mahistrado ay 7-5-3. Pito ang pabor, lima ang kontra at tatlo ang hindi nagdesisyon. Dahil ang majority decision ang masusunod, walang majority na lumitaw.

“We were made to believe that there were nine votes in favor of Grace Poe but it was revealed that there were only seven votes, which is less than the majority so there is no ruling of the court. A simple majority of 15 is eight, not seven,” paliwanag ni Tatad.
